The Minnesota Rebel Loon is a community-created symbol combining Minnesota's state bird, the Common Loon, with the Star Wars Rebel Alliance "Starbird" emblem. Created in January 2026 under a Creative Commons license, it represents resistance, solidarity, and community strength of the "Northern Rebel Alliance." It has been adopted by various advocacy groups and community organizers in Minnesota as a symbol of support for immigrant rights and local community action against ICE. All proceeds from purchase of this pattern are donated to mutual aid relief in the Minneapolis area.
